COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FOOT REFLEXOLOGY

Question - I've heard the name but what is it?
Answer - Foot reflexology is a method of working on the feet and gently but firmly pressing and rubbing into mapped reflex points that mirror the body systems.
Question - But what does it do?
Answer -Since the early 1900's there has been many case studies that prove the effectiveness of reflexology for helping people to have a better awareness of their body and health. There are over 72,000 nerve endings in the soles of the feet, which respond to reflexology aiding in increased stimulation of neural activity through out the body. Sluggish blood circulation to the feet can cause mineral deposits to build up in the soles and the reflexologist can help to move these deposits back into the blood stream for elimination out of the body. The endocrine system makes hormones that are secreted by the glands. Foot stimulation enhances hormonal activity and helps the body to reach a state of homeostasis (balance).
Question - How long is a session?
Answer - On the first visit we talk about your health and find out a little about you. This takes ½ hour and then you have 1 hour of foot reflexology. Follow up sessions are for 1 hour or ½ hour if you choose.
Question - How many sessions do I need to have?
Answer - Some people feel the effects after one session, but it is suggested to come for 4 sessions maybe six. Most people like to maintain their energy levels and return every 3 to 6 weeks.
Question - What can reflexology do for me?
Answer - A reflexology session is one hour of time out for busy people. Once the body has become balanced, most people find they have increase energy levels. I have seen people become stronger and happier in their mental attitudes. It gives you a lighter step and a better awareness of your body and health, and with so many choices in relation to health practices foot reflexology is a lovely and natural way to maintain good health.
Question - Can I claim your service through my health fund?
Answer - Yes most health funds recognise reflexology.
